The correct movement should be carried out on the principle of the flag, which is pulled by the pole (spine). This is the more or less well-known rule of taichichuan.
The correct movement should always be drawn. Pushing is not permitted. Pushing competes with the resistance of the environment and of your own body. In the case of movement according to the flag principle, there are four options.
Figure I.: The flag is moving with its pole against the direction of the wind- i.e. horizontally against the direction of air environment and perpendicularly against to the resistance of gravitational field.
Figure II.: The flag is moving with its pole in the direction of the wind – i.e. horizontally with the direction of air environment and perpendicularly against to the resistance of gravitational field.
Figure III .: The flag is moving with its pole in the direction of the wind – i.e. horizontally with the direction of air environment and perpendicularly against to the resistance of gravitational field.
Figure IV.: The flag is moving with its pole against the direction of the wind – i.e. horizontally perpendicular against the direction of air environment and perpendicularly against to the resistance of gravitational field.
Note: Learn to do all the movement techniques according to the four mentioned principles, regardless of whether you are training walking, taichichuan or karate or other art. Determine which option is maximal yang or yin and minimal yang or yin.
